Another Sigalas Wine with Great Depth

The Sigalas Santorini 2008, fermented in oak, is a white wine with a really simple, deep character, different from some of the higher noted virtuoso wines we have talked about from this winemaker.  It shows the range of the wines from Sigalas and highlights one of the predominant Greek varietals, Assyritiko, all by itself.  Add the oak and you have another unique invention that reminds you of something, but is not like anything else.  It is delicious as well, which lends its uniqueness quite a bit of charm.
